The register of insolvencies is a statutory register about the insolvency of individuals and businesses in Scotland.

Annual Targets

Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) have been set to monitor the performance of the Accountant in Bankruptcy against their key objectives. These are monitored throughout the year and recorded in the Annual Report and Accounts.

The targets as set out in the Annual Report are:

  • Reply to 90% of correspondence within 10 working days
  • Audit 95% of permanent trustee accounts within 4 weeks of receipt
  • Examine 95% of Sederunt books within 6 weeks of receipt
  • Pay 100% of invoices within a 30 day credit period
  • Request 100% of Act and Warrants within 28 days of the circular to creditors
  • Interview 100% of debtors within 20 working days of case allocation
  • Pay dividends to creditors in 25% of non-summary sequestrations
  • Pay dividends to creditors in 9% of summary sequestrations
