Case Operations

Case operations Branch (COB) is responsible for:

  • the day-to-day running of core bankruptcy administration;
  • award of bankruptcies on debtor applications;
  • administration of the Debt Arrangement Scheme (DAS) and DAS Register;
  • maintenance of the Register of Insolvencies;
  • administration of Bankruptcy Restriction orders and Undertakings;
  • supervision of agents and trustees in the administration of bankruptcies and protected trust deed; and
  • audit and determination of agent and trustee accounts.

Following a recent re-organisation COB was split into seven teams. This change has brought about a more functionalised approach to business delivery and allows greater specialisation with dedicated staff in specific teams dealing with constituent parts of our process.

The teams are:

  • Accounts Team
  • Asset Management Team
  • Case Administration Team
  • Case Maintenance Team
  • Correspondence Team
  • First Contact Team
  • Supervision and Monitoring Team

John Cook is Head of Case Operations, supported by Annette Burns.
