The register of insolvencies is a statutory register about the insolvency of individuals and businesses in Scotland.

Are you bankrupt or facing bankruptcy?

Do you believe bankruptcy is your only option out of debt, or are you at risk of being made bankrupt by someone you owe money to?

This section of the website is for you if:

  • Your creditors are taking action to recover the money owed. This action may include taking steps to make you bankrupt;
  • You have been made bankrupt by your creditors; or
  • You cannot pay your debts and are considering making yourself bankrupt.

Seeking advice

If you are unable to pay your debts you should get advice from a money advisor or solicitor. They can give you further information on bankruptcy or alternatives that may be available to you.
