Residual attachment

Part 4, Chapter 3 of the 2007 Act creates a new diligence to be known as residual attachment. Only property that is transferable but cannot be attached by any other diligence will be subject to residual attachment.

The introduction of residual attachment will be considered along with the abolition of adjudication for debt, the introduction of land attachment and the abolition of maills and duties. Further information about commencement will be provided as soon as it is available.
