Penultimate Debt Action Forum Meeting
22 June 2009In January 2009, Community safety Minister, Fergus Ewing announced that a Debt Action Forum would be set up to ensure that the Scottish Government is doing everything in its power to help those in Scotland struggling with personal debt.
The penultimate DAF meeting took place on 13 May 2009. Access to money advice and evictions were discussed.
It was then agreed that a final DAF report would be produced.
Repossessions Working Group
The final meeting of the Repossessions Group, a sub-group of the Debt Action Forum which is considering measures to alleviate personal debt problems also took place this day.
A final report was to be produced at the end of May 2009. the group might continue in a slightly different format to advise and test any future proposals.
