Diligence can be used by a person or organisation (the creditor) to recover debt if someone who owes them money (the debtor) has failed to pay a sum due.

If you are a creditor and require information on how to recover monies owed to you, or a debtor looking for help with action being taken against you, free advice is available from organisations such as Citizens Advice Bureaux or you may also consult a solicitor who may charge for their services.
