DAS Draft Regulations - Workshops Spaces Now Available

Debt Arrangement Scheme (Scotland) Regulations 2011:

Following the consultation exercise and subsequent workshops on the Debt Arrangement Scheme (DAS) earlier this year, we are now ready for the next phase of developing changes to DAS legislation. We have arranged discussion workshops as follows:

• 10.00 - 12.30, 19 October 2010, Atlantic Quay, Glasgow
• 13.30 - 16.00, 19 October 2010, Atlantic Quay, Glasgow
• 10.30 - 13.00, 20 October 2010, Thistle House, Edinburgh

The meetings will be open to stakeholders, professionals working within the money advice sector, creditor groups or anyone with an interest in the consultation and its outcome. We have booked rooms with capacity for around 15 to 20 people, so if there is clear demand that exceeds this, further meetings can be arranged. Similarly, we are also happy to hold meetings in other locations, again, subject to demand.

NB: The intention is that these workshops will give the opportunity to discuss draft regulations which are based on the findings of the consultation as opposed to an open forum for general discussion of the Scheme.
