Insolvency services contract renewal
23 August 2012Accountant in Bankruptcy's contract which employs the services of external suppliers to administer bankruptcy cases, is up for renewal on 31 March 2013.
Applications from parties interested in tendering for the new contract will be accepted from early October. Keep a look out on AiB's website or Public Contracts Scotland web portal for information on the application process and how to submit your interest.
Background
AiB's current contract was awarded to a group of suppliers following the introduction of a new framework, brought in on 2008, which allowed AiB to use external suppliers for the provision of insolvency services by outsourcing allocated bankruptcy cases. This existing contract which was awarded to six suppliers in 2009 is due to expire on 31 March 2013.
New contract
In recognition of the significance of the contract to the Agency, a formal project board has been created and good progress has been made on a number of fronts to ensure that a replacement contract is in place for April 2013.
To make this happen, Accountant in Bankruptcy will be carrying out a procurement exercise under the EU Procurement obligations and principles ensuring genuine and effective competition. The successful bidders will not only have to demonstrate their experience but offer efficiencies and best value to the public purse.
Updates
We will keep you updated on our progress via regular news alerts or you can check AiB's website to find out what stage the procurement exercise is at.
