What we do
AiB is responsible for the:
- administration of the Debt Arrangement Scheme, personal insolvency, and recording of corporate insolvencies in Scotland
- development of policy for personal insolvency, Debt Arrangement Scheme and diligence in Scotland
- supervision of the bankruptcy process
How are we managed
The role of The Accountant in Bankruptcy and Agency Chief Executive is held by Dr Richard Dennis.
He is accountable to Scottish Ministers for the Agency's operation and performance. Dr Dennis is supported in the strategic direction by the Advisory Board who assist and advise on:
- business priorities
- performance
- budget
- risk
