You can call us on 0300 200 2600 if you wish to speak to someone about:

  • a bankruptcy or bankruptcy application, a protected trust deed or the Debt Arrangement Scheme
  • or if you are looking for information on the bankruptcy process or are unsure of who to speak to
  • ordering a publication or a discharge certificate

The office is situated directly across from Kilwinning train station, 25 minutes from Glasgow.

There are also bus stops nearby with Kilwinning being served by the Stagecoach Express Service which takes approximately 40 minutes from Glasgow.

There are cycle racks available in the hogging area of the car park. You must provide your own cycle lock to secure your bicycle.

Car park

AiB is committed to encouraging people to use public transport to travel to the office instead of the car. The office is a short walk from Kilwinning town centre and is ideally located for regular local transport links by bus or train.

The car park is located to the rear of the building and operates a barrier system. There is an intercom at the car park barrier for visitors to contact reception to request access. There are five operational requirement spaces which can be used by visitors. These can be booked by telephoning 0300 200 2600. There are also disabled spaces available.

Press and media enquiries

AiB aims to provide a helpful service to journalists and reply to all media enquiries within agreed deadlines.

For all media enquiries please call our switchboard on 0300 200 2600 or e-mail us at AiB Communications.

Communications staff can assist on queries relating to:

  • Operational information
  • Statistics, data and trends
  • Technical aspects of bankruptcy and insolvency legislation
  • Debt Arrangement Scheme (DAS) related queries
  • Requests for quotes from AiB officials

AiB cannot disclose personal information relating to specific cases. The Register of Insolvencies is a publicly accessible register providing case information on insolvent individuals and companies.  The information is provided for the purposes of making creditors aware of any cases they may have an interest in be able to make a claim for any outstanding debts.

Outside weekday office hours (9.00am - 4.30pm) and at weekends, journalists should ring 0131 556 8400. Calls are logged by security staff. The press officers aim to provide a helpful service to journalists and reply to all media enquiries within agreed deadlines.
