The purpose of the protected trust deed standing committee is to:
- Provide information and guidance to the Accountant in Bankruptcy on the administration of protected trust deeds
- Help to identify problems/issues or general areas of concern arising from the administration of protected trust deeds at an early stage
- Act as a discussion forum for stakeholders to ensure there is an effective conduit for the receipt and dissemination of information concerning protected trust deeds across stakeholder groups and interested parties.
The committee is chaired by AiB and is composed of members from the creditor, insolvency practitioner and debt advice sectors as well as recognised professional bodies.
