Next set of DAS regulations laid in parliament

The draft legislation for the introduction of The Debt Arrangement Scheme (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2019 has now been laid in parliament.

The new regulations are expected to come into force on 4 November 2019 (subject to parliamentary approval).

If approved, these regulations will enhance the scheme by streamlining processes for increased flexibility and sustainability and make provision to make DAS more accessible for those struggling with debt.

The full set of proposed amendments can be read in the summary of responses for the DAS 2018 consultation Building a Better Debt Arrangement Scheme.
