Insolvency framework update

The current Insolvency Services framework was expected to end on 30 June 2021. A project to retender this framework initially commenced at the end of 2019, however, due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and the unprecedented impact this has had on insolvency activity a decision has now been made to extend the current framework until 30 June 2022. Bankruptcy cases will continue to be allocated to the existing Framework suppliers Wylie & Bisset LLP, and Dunedin Advisory Ltd throughout this extension period.

This 12 month extension period will allow AiB to monitor the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the debt landscape throughout 2021, in order to have a new Insolvency Framework awarded and in place from 1 July 2022 onwards.

Modification notices have been published on Public Contracts Scotland (PCS) for each of the three regional framework Lots. These notices fully detail the background information and justification for this framework modification.

Any queries relating to this process should be directed to Laura Robertson, Head of Procurement, and John Cook, Depute Accountant in Bankruptcy.
