The 2020-21 Annual Report and Accounts reports the business and financial activities undertaken by Accountant in Bankruptcy (AiB) over the last financial year from 1 April 2020 to 31 March 2021.
The document outlines AiB's accomplishments for the year and high level key statistics outlining the trends in debt solutions around Scotland. This year’s report continues to reflect on our Covid-19 activity and recognises the effort of staff throughout the pandemic.
Highlights this year include around £55 million returned to creditors through DAS, bankruptcy and trust deeds.
During the year, AiB achieved all application processing time key performance indicator measures, reflecting the continued work of the teams to streamline processes, our engagement with stakeholders to better understand user needs, and the continued improvement of our IT functionality.
In 2020-21, AiB retained its gold award in Healthy Working Lives and retained gold status for the Investors in People standard.
We continue our commitment to reducing our environmental impact and, through investment in our Trees for Life corporate partnership, was carbon neutral for 2020-21.
The report was laid in the Scottish Parliament on Monday 13 December and is available for all to view on the AiB website.
