This guidance describes the general functions of Accountant in Bankruptcy, interim trustees, trustees and commissioners in relation to their responsibilities regarding bankruptcies which started on or after 30 November 2016.

7.0 Vesting of the estate

This section refers to Part 5 of the Act, sections 78 to 88.

The whole estate of the debtor vests in the trustee for the benefit of the creditors as at the date of bankruptcy.
